San Diego, California is on the list of America’s ten largest cities with a population of almost 3million people! Home to many technology-based companies, the city gets tremendous benefit from the universities and research institution which are located there along with several different military bases. San Diego’s U.S. Navy port is the home of the largest naval fleet in the world! The city actually got its name from a Spanish Saint, when a Spanish explorer, Sebastian Vizcaino arrived in 1602.
Why I Love San Diego
San Diego is home to the Star of India, a museum ship that is actually still seaworthy, although it was built in 1863. And, if you prefer wildlife to sea life, the San Diego Zoo would probably keep you busy for a day or so with over 4,000 exhibit animals of nearly 1,000 different species.
